Laundry...
*A little windy out here today. The pack isn't as heavy as it looks. It was the bike, uphill into the wind, that really hurt.
I apologize for the lack of post yesterday. It rained all day, so I curled up in the v-berth and read. All.Day.Long. A Mike Blakely novel I literally found on the street. Understanding why I found it on the street. No, I'm kidding, it's not bad actually.
Anyways, this morning, Erik was meeting a guy on the boat to help set up some electrical stuff so I decided to make myself scarce. I biked into town to catch up on some laundry.
*And now we wait. After becoming thoroughly bored with taking self portraits at the laundromat, I decided to tour around town to see what I could find.
*Found this adorable coffee house, The Java Rock.

*They carried a whole bunch of cute hand made jewellery
*Cute little bracelet. It would have been rude to take all these pictures and not buy something;)
*They even had a book exchange. I have seen a few of these exchanges around town, and now I have a book to trade. Speaking of books, I had to leave most of my collection behind and am beginning to regret it. At the time we were packing, I was given specific instructions to pack only those books that were absolutely necessary for our survival at sea. I know, it sounded a little extreme to me too at the time. However, I've been here before and realize how precious space can be. So there I was, left with the delicate task of going through our bookcases deciding what to take and what not to take. I ended up doing the 'right' thing, and not crowding our boat with books I've already read a hundred times. Now, I regret it, I should have listened to that inner voice that urged me to take them all. Always listen to your inner voice.
Hi Chelsea, I'm kinda glad you left your books behind. I'm on book three of your Outlander collection....

DeleteChelsea & Erik -- I used to work with your mom at CMA and she shared your blog link with me. I think the journey you're undertaking is something that you will treasure for the rest of your lives. You are very courageous! Congratulations on your blog also! I agree with the previous comment that you should consider writing your own book...... In the meantime, I'm really enjoying your blog and reading about your adventure.. All the best to you both!
