My sister, Kendra and her boyfriend, Travis, being the awesome people they are, offered to take us to Maryland.

Kendra and I were 'cozied' up like this for the 11 hours it took to get to Maryland. Why? Because the vehicle was jammed packed with all the gear that we forgot to pack on the boat. You would think that on the verge of embarking on an adventure like this we would get our shit together and be organized, for once. Not the case. It was a mad scramble till the last minute. But it all worked out, as life tends to do.

The drive went quite smooth, except for a slight delay at the border. Turns out our boat was also delayed at the border as they waited for us, to ask us some, um, questions. Just your standard run of the mill "So what the hell are you guys up to?" sort of thing. Which is understandable, and we were back on the road in no time.

We are now in Chestertown, Maryland, about 20 minutes from Rock Hall. Tomorrow the boat goes in the water. However, right now, we are in desperate need of a few beers. Thirsty Thursday anyone?
