Elizabeth City NC to The Alligator River

Early morning view from down below.

Sailing across the Albemarle Sound.

Our anchorage for the night.  The water was like glass.

We just dropped anchor and it's nearly 5pm.  We put in just over 40 nautical miles today and all went really well.  After yesterday I really didn't think it could get any colder, but I was wrong.  We froze this morning; we were rocking the full on ski gear again. But it warmed up early afternoon and the day just kind of loosened up from there.

I just realized that there is absolutely no service here. We are in the wilderness.  So I will have to post this tomorrow as soon as we get a signal.

Tomorrow we are heading to Belhaven where we will be able to fill our tanks and stock up on a few thing.
