Never-Ending Boat Work...

They say that cruising is basically working on your boat in foreign lands. If so, we are full-on cruising at the moment. Got a whole bunch of little jobs crossed off the list today. However, the real stinger is that we just found out that either the oil seal or the o-rings around the propeller shaft leak. They must have dried out during the time she was on the hard. What does that mean? The gear oil is full of water and that we have to order parts (which we ordered yesterday and they are already here - awesome). Lee has agreed to haul the boat out and help fix it. Ugh. I know. It's brutal. But it's something that can be done while the boat is in the slings and hopefully will take an afternoon and she'll be back in the water and we'll be back on track in no time. Life's unexpected surprises; but the only thing to do is keep plugging away, one day at a time.

*We had the hull taped off to polish it. Here, I'm just removing the tape. Bit of a bitch of a job.

*Erik wiring the battery bank

*Scrubbing the cockpit
*Touring around, had to get the large mouth bass mailbox in a pic and am not one for statue pictures but this one was kinda cool, had a whole bunch of oyster shells around it.

*Dreamer Blue and Anna (Lee's boat). Turns out Anna is the actual boat from the Michael Douglas movie 'Romancing the Stone'. She was named Angelina for the movie. Pretty Cool.
